Toy Story 3 (2010)

Character Modeling and Rigging - Spearheaded development of human models including a new, standardized human topology, hand and face rig upgrades integrating lessons from previous shows. Modeled and rigged a number of characters including Andy, Andy's Mom, Rex and Bookworm. Interviewed and mentored new team members. Received some excellent mentoring myself from the supervising & lead animators while animating some independent character tests with Woody and the Luxo Lamp in a side exploration of that discipline.

One of the biggest joys of my earlier days at Pixar was owning Human model/rig development for Toy Story 3, including Andy and Andy's Mom. This involved designing a new topology and taking lessons from Ratatouille to establish a standard Human topology.

As a bonus, got to model and rig the update to this handsome fella! Lots of focus on truth to materials here, and oddly enough I kinda had to reproduce some of the "broken" behavior from the earlier films that had become endearing!
